If the modern musl libc is more memory safe by design despite same API it
will apply a performance penalty to any code still using the unsafe be

Well pretty much everywhere. Mac isn't much better on 0days than Win & Lin.
I would *like* to think lack of (non Mac) BSD 0 days is as much from better
software and defaults as from just lower uptake.
