[Discuss] display

yesterday, while browsing on firefox, i received a bunch of
apple window pop-ups, the last one telling me that my
computer was disabled.  i was unable to kill the windows
or access my hp laptop running fc38.  i rebooted, and
everything was fine, except that the x direction looks
stretched, perhaps by 25%.  i looked in settings but found
nothing to help.  any suggestions?
