Whatever your network key is for the pc's -- you need to add a $ in front of that for the Mac. Don't ask me how we figured that out but all I can say is TG for the internet.

Hi,
Friends recently elected to go with Comcast as their ISP, also to provide
their phone service and TV. Initially they linked a PC to their cable
modem via an ethernet cable, and that worked fine.
Then they decided to add a Mac, on a lower floor, using a Linksys
wired/wireless modem/router. So, they've tied the Linksys to the cable
modem and wired the PC to it via an ethernet cable. And that part worked
fine.
But, on the floor below, although the Mac shows a strong signal and can
send a password to the Linksys, the password is always "invalid". (Even
though every possible password has been tried, in all spelling variations.)
Is there some secret to making this system work?
