yes, that is what I did, I changed my original admin account to a
standard.
Keep in mind, you will can still install apps in the standard accout,
but you need to type in an admin username and password every time you
install software or make any changes to any directories or files
outside your user directory.
The only problem I found was I could not run maintenance apps like Onyx.
It is a small price to pay for security though.
