[Macwoburn] commentary on various subjects

I'm not on OS X, but I wouldn't get too scared about some news-story about
someone predicting more viruses for the Mac. It's not the reality yet, so why
worry about it? (worrying doesn't help anyways). I really doubt that there will
be tons in the future, and if it does bother you, then get some anti-virus
software - that's why they're there.
The best prevention against viruses is to be an educated 'smart' user.
As far as Katrina victims goes, that's nice to send them your old Mac stuff.
However, if you're not able to, there are also local places that take old Mac
stuff, like www.northshore.org (they even pick up - I've used them). and of
course, I could use some myself (like kids games, and 'WallSt' parts) - but I'm
not trying to get in the way of anyones charity, btw.
I had emailed this list about Mac email clients for OS9. Ilene replied
privately to me, saying Eudora works great for her (for OSX as well). Unfortunately,
I messed up in my email - what I was really looking for is a Mac (OS9)
friendly email vendor that is inexpensive. I will use Eudora, Outlook (a.k.a.
LookOut!) or something else, when I find a good service - I was mainly interested in
pro/con comments. Sorry for the confusion!! :(
(I'm looking at FastMail.fm and Mail-Center.com)
In case you haven't heard, Apple is trying to build a flagship store across
from the Boston Prudential Center (near where I work). It's still a ways away
from being built.
It'd be cool if they can go through with it (and even cooler if I can afford
to buy some newer Apple products).
Lastly, not to reopen the "tired" Mac vs PC debate, but I noticed a subject
line on it on Boston.Com yesterday. Feel free to comment if you feel one way or
another :)

Are you a Mac or PC user? Which do you think is better and why?
