Well said, and I mostly agree, but consider this: If Linux suddenly found itself as the dominant desktop OS, it could be then argued that Linux destroyed the business model of selling software, period. Then what? =8^) [Remember, Linux vendors' business model is mainly one of selling support...] As for the iPad, I can't imagine having a use for one. I carry at least one of my laptops just about everywhere I go; and when I choose not to, I have my droid, which suffices for most things I care about. -- Derek D.
