i recently bought a kyworld pc/tv box to take the vga
display output from my asus eee pc 1005ha VGA port to the
S-video input on my hp tv.  the box seems to be connected ok
-- i see a set of color bars on the tv when the little box
is powered on, and the menu shows up ok, but the VGA output
seems not to be there.

does one need to do something special to enable the VGA
output?

the asus is running ubuntu 9.10
