ah, well.  i thought i was using Mime-Lite-3.01_04 but
was inadvertently linking to the previous directory.
changing didn't help, however, but i did take tom metro's
advice and stuck in a couple of lines defining Encoding
and Type for the main body of the message, which will now
hopefully sneak by jerry's mailer.  don't know why i
couldn't have seen that earlier.  sorry to have been
so dense.

yeah, i know there are other mailers out there better
than mine, but . . . let's hope this fixes the main
objections.
