well, i know this, but don't know how to fix it.  i use my
own perl script for sending mail, and that employs
MIME-Lite, which is no longer (apparently) in CPAN.  the
previous version used Content-Transfer-Encoding: text.
why it was changed, i don't know.  looking around the
CPAN, i haven't found a suitable substitute.  it always
takes so much time when things get changed.

media check works ok on the machine 1 which burned the
disks, but not machine 2 where i want to use them.  i
tried using the rescue disk and then reading the disks
from machine 1, but when i ok'd dhcp for ftp install, the
install bombed - error 11 or something.

that worked, though the results are the same.

how do i ascertain if it is, and if it isn't, how do i get it?
