   Series 1 or 2?  If it's a series 1 standalone that you have, or are
willing to modify (hack), than you can probably get this feature.  At
least one patch exists and has been known to actually work.

   If it's a DirectTiVo or a series 2 you'll probably have to bug TiVo
to get the feature added.  Maybe someday they'll implement soft
padding...
