not to regurgitate all the previous correspondence on this
subject, i've been trying to get installed the kernel module
for my soundfusion cs4610 audio card (?) in thinkpad 600e,
running rh7.3.  alsa-0.9.0rc3 has been duely downloaded and
installed.  depmod -a did not seem to find all the right
dependencies, but i fumbled through all the reported errors
and have wound up with the following:

executing:

  insmod snd-rawmidi

no unresolved dependencies.  i tried some irq and io parameters,
but messages came back saying these were inappropriate parameters.
what could the device init_module be?  ring any bells for anyone?
