This is really only true if your system has > 128MB.  For a typical
single-user workstation running Linux 2.4, your total virtual memory
(RAM + swap) should probably be somewhere around 300-350MB at a
minimum.  If you have more than that in physical RAM, adding double
that in swap is just wasting disk.
