audience interested in "desktop Linux", the new RedHat 7.4 is surprisingly good.
In the past, RedHat included stale GNOME files (at least until 7.3),
and broken KDE installations, all of which made for a "good enough" desktop
(yeah, I know Mandrake and SuSE target the desktop, RH

reprinting the release notes, and I know 7.4B3 is out but this version has been
stable enough that I've put off upgrading until the release. GNOME2.0 is a huge
improvement: it's snappier, cleaner, more predictable/consistent, and helpful
