I'm with you up to here...

But this is preposterous!  If you didn't still have your h1b
employees, you'd have to replace them, wouldn't you?  It would free up
some jobs for those of us who are American Citizens, who live here and
don't have a home to return to somewhere else, who are in danger of
losing the homes we DO have, who need jobs.

The H1B visa was intended to be a temporary solution to a temporary
problem.  The problem no longer exists.  Send them home.  From a
purely practical standpoint, this is the right thing to do.  However,
I'm not entirely in support of that because in every situation you
have human factors, and those must be considered.  Nevertheless, we
are now faced with a problem, much as we were when we allowed them to
come in...
