have recently installed rh7.3 on ibm thinkpad 380z (sirius), which
in the main seems to be ok.  however . . .

ethernet comes up fine on sirius (192.168.0.6), but though i can ssh
and scp to/form my other local net machine (polaris: 192.168.0.5),
via netgear rt314 router, i can't get out to the outside world,
though i can from polaris.  this is true either to send mail or to
ping outside hosts.

a few system outputs/files are shown below, but frankly, i don't
know what to look for.

i did notice that the sirius kernel interface table shows flags BMRU
for eth0, but on polaris the flags are BRU only.

any suggestions would be appreciated.
