I am having a problem installing RH7.2 on a beat up old P166. When I specify text mode(due to real crappy video card and monitor) at the installer's main menu the installer still insists on doing *something* which results in my monitor flashing infinitely and the installer dying.
I thought that a real text install would not do this!?!? I am under this impression because I once installed RH5.2 on the same setup and it went fine. I tried specifyng expert mode to turn off any sort of probing but this still happens? Any advice on what to do ?
