Continueing on this line of discussion....

<p>I have two linux boxes:

<br>    A. Has RH7.0 w/o IPv4 installed, no ipchains. The

telnet deamon is          

installed and 'disable = no' in xinetd.d/telnetd.

<br>    B. Has RH7.2 , IPv6 and ipchains or iptables installed.

the telnet deamon is not installed and there is no entry for it in xinetd.d/.

<p>The base telnet program is installed on both machines. On box B I used

Gn-Lokkit to enable medium security and allow telnet.

<br>I can telnet from B to A, but I cannot telnet from A to B, <i>connection

to ...... refused.</i><i></i>

<p>What is refusing the connection?

<br>I have setup Samba to serve the MS shares on the network and this has

been working fine.

<p>A little insight would be helpfull.
