Last week (I believe) Microsoft announced they are retiring the OS...
Now I have to go look for the press release to verify that I'm not
just smoking crack...

O.k., well I'm mistaken.  They're continuing support for it, but
they're changing licensing options.  Here's the press release:

AFAIK this just means that if you want to run (buy licenses for)
Windows NT in volume in the future, you're going to have to pay Win2k
prices.  They're also ditching NT4 upgrade licenses.
