<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I changed the ip address and found out it didn't
work.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>first, I stop the network use the command: ifdown
eth0,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>then modified the /etc/sysconfig/network and also
network script on eth0.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I then restart the network: ifup eth0,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I used the netstat -r and found empty on the
default route.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I also tried re-boot the system, I got the same
result.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I could browse the web, but ping didn't work even
though ping its own ip address.</FONT></DIV>
