Were you able to get it working yet?

If not, you might try editing the config file by hand.  Assuming you're
using XFree86 4.x the default file is XF86Config-4.  One common place this
is located is:

    /etc/X11/XF86Config-4

Load w/ your favorite editor and look for a line that starts with:

    Section "Monitor"

In this section are two values:

    HorizSync
    VertRefresh

Set these to what they need to be for your monitor.  For example, I would
use:

    HorizSync   30-97
    VertRefresh 50-180
